Fieldtrip!

Now that we're in the "heat" of the summer heat, it's been hard to make stops in the afternoon at the park on our way home. So, yesterday we made our first trip to the library and boy was it a hit! We had lots of air-conditioned fun!

Piper made her first stop at the kids' table and had fun with all the puzzles and magna-doodles set out. Next we made our way to the kids' books and once she got the hang of what we were doing, she started taking books off the shelf in stacks! We made a big pile on the floor and had a good time going through all the books. Piper narrowed it down to a smaller stack that we checked out. Since her final "loot bag" was a bit heavier than she anticipated, she put me in charge of carrying her stack out to the car, and she took care of pushing Boone's stroller to the car. Once we got home, she got right down to reading her books, I think they were each read at least two times before bed. This morning, after breakfast, I found her in her room, "reading" her new books.
